List of the most valid passports in the world in 2023

In the last 5 years, Japan was able to occupy the first place in the list of the strongest passports in the world, but now and in 2023, it is not the case, and Japan has given its place in this list to Singapore.

In 2023, and in the latest ranking of Henley’s passport, Singapore was able to take the first place in the passports of the world. With Singapore ranking first in this list, Singaporeans can now travel to 192 of the 227 countries in the world without a visa.

This year, compared to previous years, Japan has dropped two places to the third place and is lower than Germany, Italy and Spain in this list.

The passports of France, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg and South Korea are also in the third place next to Japan.

The list of the most valid passports in the world in 2023 is as follows

  1. Singapore
  2. Germany, Italy and Spain
  3. Japan, France, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg and South Korea
  4. Netherlands, Great Britain, Ireland and Denmark
  5. Portugal, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, Czech Republic, New Zealand and Malta
  6. Poland, Hungary and Australia
  7. Greece and Canada
  8. America and Lithuania
  9. Slovenia, Slovakia and Latvia
  10. Iceland and Estonia

The ranking of this list is done in such a way that the holder of any passport that can travel to a country without a visa is considered a point for that passport, and any passport that gets the most points is ranked first.

The world’s weakest passport was awarded to Afghanistan. The country is still at the bottom of this list, and Afghan passport holders can travel to only 27 destinations without a visa. After Afghanistan, there are passports of Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Nepal, North Korea, Bangladesh, Libya, Sri Lanka and Kosovo.

Iran’s passport is considered among the weak passports in this list and the holders of this passport can only travel to 44 countries without a visa. Iran ranks 93rd in this list, followed by Lebanon at 94th.
