The member countries of the so-called “Troika Plus” meeting in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on Thursday (20 Aqrab/Aban) in a statement expressed their concern about the severe deterioration of the economic and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and emphasized their unwavering support for the “Afghan people”.

A Taliban delegation also traveled to Islamabad, but did not participate in this meeting, but it was said that the members of this delegation will meet with Amir Khan Motaghi, the foreign minister of the Taliban.

Members of the meeting expressed deep concern about the serious liquidity problems facing Afghanistan and said they were looking for ways to ease access to “legitimate banking services.”
In this statement, the representatives of the countries welcomed the commitment of the Taliban to allow the safe passage of all those who wish to leave Afghanistan, and they also welcomed the progress in the activation of airports throughout the country with the beginning of winter, which facilitates the delivery of global aid.
This meeting welcomed the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid by the international community to Afghanistan, but expressed great concern about the possibility of economic collapse and the worsening of the humanitarian crisis and the emergence of a new wave of refugees.
The statement of this meeting states that its members condemn the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan in the strongest terms and call on the Taliban to cut ties with all “international terrorist groups” and to fulfill their commitment not to use Afghan soil by them. Groups against other countries stick to it.
In this statement, it is stated that the independence and respect for the territorial integrity of Afghanistan, as well as the country’s freedom from terrorism and drug-related crimes, contribute to the stability and connection of the region.
The meeting also asked the Taliban to adopt a friendly approach towards neighboring countries and support international legal obligations, including universally accepted principles of international law and human rights, and support the security and legitimate rights of nationals and foreign institutions in Afghanistan.
